Chelsea’s story
I grew up in Bishop, California (the mule capital of the world!) and moved to San Diego after high school to pursue an education in hair at Vidal Sassoon Cosmetology School in 2007. Licensed in both Hawaii and California, I fine-tuned my skills by working at Jet Rhys Salon in Hillcrest, San Diego and Bristol Salon in Encinitas before moving to Kaua’i just over 12 years ago. I spent time as the head stylist for Anara Salon and Spa at the Grand Hyatt Kaua’i, where I had the privilege of styling and cutting for high-end clients (including John Travolta!) and I was also the on-site stylist for wedding hair and make-up.
Fun Facts About Me
I am Super independent and driven. I am from Bishop CA, but Kauai is where my heart is at. I am very social and loving. I love animals, particularly my dog and cat. Elephants are my favorite animal. I love the ocean, the outdoors (snowboarding, surfing, running, walking on the beach, collecting shells), country music, and painting. My favorite color is Teal. I enjoy food and people. I believe simplicity has power in design. I am inspired by teals, greens, water(ocean and droplets), sunlight, mountains and all things nature as symbol for beauty and elegance.
